How to Investigate the BG3 Investigate the Selunite Resistance Quest

When you open Potter’s Chest in the Ruined Battlefield, the Selunite Resistance quest starts. But before going out, you should do a few things to get ready. Get a flashlight or ask Isobel for help to see in the dark. If you want to increase your level XP then use the Increased Level XP mod.

When you get to the Ruined Battlefield, you’ll find a group of strong Meazels there. To get the upper hand, you might want to make a preemptive attack, which will catch them off guard and slow down their offensive moves. Once you’ve won, go to the positions ‘X: 52, Y: 11′ to open Potter’s Chest. If you use Thieves’ Tools to open the chest, you’ll get good gear and a strange note that will help you figure out what the Selunite Resistance is all about. You can use builds like Shadowheart, Wyll, Minsc, and Minthara.

Investigating the Last Light Inn

Armed with the information gleaned from the mysterious note, your next destination is the Last Light Inn Basement, located at coordinates ‘X: 58, 144’. To access this area, you have multiple entry points, but the quickest route is through the left pathway, blocked by crates. After clearing this obstruction, a battle against the menacing Meenlock ensues. With the Meenlocks defeated, proceed to the wooden platform with a statue. Here, you’ll find Halfred’s Note on the table at the back of the location, shedding further light on the Selunite Resistance’s history and objectives. BG3 Investigate the Selunite Resistance Quest: Masons’ Guild

Before you start your journey to the Masons’ Guild, you must make sure you have enough protection from the darkness around you. Your trip could end badly if you don’t take the right precautions. You could look at our “How to Lift the Shadow Curse” guide. It says that the Blessing of Selune and the Pixie Blessing are the best ways to protect yourself. You’ll need lockpicking tools or the Tower-Shaped Key, which you can get from Mattis, to get into a closed area of the Masons’ Guild. Go to ‘X: -105, Y: 0′, which is the door to the Masons’ Guild. As you go deeper into the building, go to the left to find the Ornate Wooden Hatch, which is marked by an entry waypoint. You can make it show up by passing a Perception check, and you can use Thieves’ Tools to open it. Use Sildur’s Party Limit Begone mod, it expands the party limit. 

Continuing forward, you’ll encounter a group of Shadow enemies, which, with your newfound knowledge and skills, shouldn’t pose significant difficulty. Finally, make your way to the table at the center of the room to uncover the Mason’s Log at coordinates ‘X: 108, Y: -742’. Reading the log is the culmination of your mission, and you can further explore the area to acquire valuable loot for your continued adventures. With good build, you can solve puzzles and survive the Underdark or other quests.
