Melusines are non-human NPCs and daughters of Elynas. Ever since Melusines were shown in the glimpse of Genshin Impact 3.8 Special Program, travelers have been finding ways to discover more about their lore and background. It’s also revealed that Melusines were born 400 years back during an explosion in a battle.
Once the Fontaine region was launched in Genshin Impact 4.0, the Melusines made their entry as well. Melusines belong to a particular race and these groups reside over the Merusea Village. Genshin Impact Melusines’ Stories – Lore, History & Appearance
Melusines are a group of races that reside all over the Fontaine region. They are deemed as diligent and they have a great sense of justice. History suggests Melusines were born after an explosion during a war between Narzissenkreuz Ordo and Marechaussee Hunters in Elynas.
When the explosion occurred, a mechanical component of clockwork meka enemies pierced through Elynas’ body. There was the arrival of Melusines through wounds and Elynas considered Melusines as his daughters.
Several characters belong to Melusines race. Here are some known open-world NPCs who belong to Melusine groups,
- Xana
- Virda
- Thirona
- Topyas
- Mamere
- Flo
- Mela
- Blathine
Melusines wear blue colored outfits and their hairstyle will be unique. Melusines resemble a faun with long tails, ears and goat-like horns. Their body and hair color is rose.
Initially Fontaine people didn’t allow Melusines as they thought these groups would be a threat to the entire village. To prove themselves, one of Melusines called Carole committed suicide to prove they are not wrong. That’s how the Melusines race came to the Fontaine region.
Melusines are humble and will do anything for their people. They have always fought for rights and justice. Melusines saved some NPCs from nightmares against dangerous bosses and enemies of Fontaine.
