Taynara Conti was also released by WWE recently and claimed she was interested in MMA now

Former WWE star Taynara Conti shared her thoughts regarding one of the title clashes from UFC 251.

The Brazilian star was one of the top talents on NXT but was released by WWE during the Covid-19 cost-cutting measures.

Conti did appear on several TV shows but WWE made the decision to cut her. She hasn’t been seen in a lot of action post her WWE release but she did enjoy UFC 251.

The Brazilian also claimed that she was proud of Jose Aldo despite his loss to Petr Yan. Aldo, a fellow Brazilian like Conti, was pummelled by Yan during the final round but he tried to stay in the fight.

However, there was just too much from the Russian and the referee had to stop the fight. Nevertheless, Aldo showed a lot of heart and spirit in the first two rounds, something that Conti might have been highlighting:

“I’m so proud to be a Brazilian, I’m so proud to be represented by Aldo”

Time for a career change?

While there are other wrestling promotions apart from WWE where Conti could try her luck, the Brazilian seems interested in MMA.

Conti does hold a black belt in Judo and tweeted that she wants to “do a MMA fight”:

The Brazilian also supported Amanda Ribas during the UFC 251 main card and wanted to fight:

This could be an interesting switch for Conti as many MMA stars end up in professional wrestling. However, Brock Lesnar is one success story where the Beast left WWE, went to the UFC and became a champion.

Conti had earlier spoken about her release from WWE. The former NXT star had asked WWE for a release months before she was given it during the Coronavirus pandemic.

However, she did add that things were alright and she was excited for the future.
