With Overwatch 2, Blizzard revamped its hero shooter with a brand new seasonal content release schedule. Every nine-week season will feature a new hero, map, or game mode for fans to enjoy. Overwatch 2 Season 2 will begin in the Fall of 2022, which marks the first time players will be able to get their hands on the new character. The developer revealed the character during the Grand Finals of the Overwatch League in 2022.

Story and Origin
As Blizzard says, Ramattra and Zenyatta are so close they consider each other brothers, players will be able to interact with each other multiple times in-game. Zenyatta advocates peaceful resolutions, while Ramattra believes more forceful and violent means are required to ensure the omnics’ safety. Despite humanity’s prejudices, Ramattra remains a pragmatic leader who is willing to do whatever it takes to protect his people.
Overwatch 2 Ramattra: Release Date
A statement from Blizzard confirmed that Ramattra will be added to Overwatch 2 Season 2 on December 6, 2022, when it is currently scheduled to begin. During this time, he will be available for Quick Play and Arcade matches, however, ranked Competitive Play will not be available until several weeks later.
This is the situation because the creators want to allow free-to-play players a fair amount of time to unlock new heroes from the Battle Pass before they can be played Competitive. Blizzard will also be able to adjust the balance of new characters during this buffer period if necessary, preventing them from feeling too weak or too strong.
How to Unlock Ramattra in Overwatch 2?
The free-to-play Overwatch 2 Battle Pass will require free-to-play players to reach Tier 55 in order to unlock Ramattra, much like the Kiriko unlocking process. Players can unlock Battle Pass tiers by completing matches and completing gameplay challenges.
However, they can also purchase individual tiers directly with Overwatch Coins if they wish. Ramattra is immediately accessible if you purchase the Premium Battle Pass reward track. The price of the Premium Battle Pass is 1,000 Overwatch Coins, which equals $10.
Overwatch 2 Ramattra Abilities
Ramattra’s ability kit has not yet been revealed by Blizzard, but we do know he’s going to be a dynamic character with the ability to switch between two different forms that each have unique strengths and weaknesses. He can poke the enemy with ranged attacks and create barriers in his default “Omnic Form.”
Overwatch 2 Ramattra can fight close range with shield-piercing fist blows when he transforms into his “Nemesis Form,” which makes him considerably bigger and more durable.
Ramattra players will be able to smash through enemy backlines and contest objectives effectively if they use Nemesis Form well, although Blizzard told us he will be more vulnerable to high-damage tankbusting abilities and crowd control abilities like Ana’s Sleep Dart due to his larger size while using the ability.
Ramattra’s Ultimate ability was not explicitly described by the devs, although it was hinted that it was close-range in nature and would let him obtrusively occupy the area.
