After an unexpected loss in Week 9, Buffalo Bills failed to stretch their lead the top of AFC East division. Now with the Minnesota Vikings (7-1) scheduled to lock horns against them, the Bills can be extensively short-handed with Jordan Poyer emerging as another player who could miss the spoken off encounter.

Jordan Poyer suffered an elbow injury in Week 8 and hasn’t played since. With the Bills already missing their marquee safety against the Jets, he would’ve been a huge asset for them against the Minnesota Vikings who love to throw the ball. Poyer leads the team with four interceptions, so his absence could be a huge boost for the opposition’s offense.

The 31-year-old All-Pro will b accompanied by Greg Rousseau on the sidelines, who is dealing with an ankle injury. The latter sustained an injury in Week 9’s game vs Jets and is likely to miss multiple games. The 22-year-old has five sacks as is second on the list behind Jordan Poyer.

Can Jordan Poyer’s absence be a huge boost for Vikings?

Be it any defense, the Minnesota Vikings have not been afraid to take their chances, in throwing the ball to different players, this is just where Jordan Poyer could have given the Bills – the much-required edge over their opponents.

On the other hand, Minnesota Vikings, who have been one of the most surprising teams in the 2022-23 season have had a light injury report throughout the season. However, the absence of Dalvin Tomlinson could be a huge factor to consider for their upcoming opposition.

That being said, recently acquired Dean Marlowe should step in right away and play a big role for Buffalo’s secondary at strong safety with Poyer injured. The 31-year-old was a first-team All-Pro in 2021 and has 21 tackles (15 solo), four interceptions and six passes defensed in his first five games of the 2022-23 regular season.
