Here is everything you need to know about the new realistic tennis game Matchpoint Tennis Championships.

Matchpoint – Tennis Championships is a fresh take on tennis, with a life-like on-court experience supported by a rich career mode and a distinct rivalry system. It’s all about rising from relative unknown to global number one, with 65 events to play in across six continents and tons of character upgrades and customizing. Coaches, rackets, and shoes can all be unlocked, including official branded digital equipment from Uniqlo, Nike, and Head.

The gameplay reveal trailer for Matchpoint Tennis Championships was recently released by the publisher Kalypso Media and the Australian developer Torus Games. The game, which has 18 licensed players, combines stunning character animations, authentic ball mechanics, and increased player control to recreate the game’s realistic feel.

Release Date and Platforms

Matchpoint Tennis Championships is scheduled to release in spring 2022 with the actual date being 7th July 2022. It was initially scheduled to be released on 10th February 2022 but was later pushed forwards with the spring release date.

It will be available on Windows PC, XBOX Series X|S, XBOX One, Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch. You can pre-purchase the game right now on the official webpage.

Gameplay

Matchpoint Tennis Championships provides a career-driven mode with the unique merit-based ranking system. Players can create their own 3D star with custom a look, fashion, and play style with the variety of options available for the traditional skills, such as left- or right hand, one-handed hand, or two-handed backhand. 

Along with the career moed, there are multiple mini game options where you can have a quick game and practice your skills. Players can join different events with various different courts just like the real world. Every court has its own advantages; it will help you improve your game and expose you to grass, clay, and hard courts.

Player Roster

Matchpoint Tennis Championships includes 16 professional tennis players from around the world. Tennis legends such as Nick Kyrgios, Kei Nishikori, and Amanda Anisimova have confirmed their involvement in the new game.

The roster also includes real-life players Danill Medvedev, Garbine Muguruza, Andrey Rublev, Casper Ruud, Hubert Hurkaczs, Benoit Paire, Heather Watson, Hugo Gaston, Madison Keys, Victoria Azarenka, Carlos Alcaraz, Pablo Carreno Busta, and Taylor Fritz.
