Genshin Impact 4.0 update launched the Fontaine region and there have been numerous world quests right now. With new events arriving through Genshin Impact 4.2, players have to explore many sub-areas of Fontaine. Fontaine has Lady Furina as its God of Justice. Furina, the five-star hydro archon, wields a sword and she’s an attacking unit.
With so many mysterious characters in Fontaine, players look to discover their backstories and history. One among many NPCs of Fontaine is Vacher. He’s a quest NPC and appears during the Archon Quest. Vacher is a human NPC in Genshin Impact and here is more about this secret character from Fontaine.
Genshin Impact Vacher NPC – Everything You Need to Know
Vacher was a successful businessman and he’s the leader of the organization called Confrerie of Cabriere. Vacher and his lover started to research a concoction, Sinthe, that’s formed from a pool of diluted water in Fontaine.
His underground Sinthe business was successful for many years and the water substance had the ability to transform people into water and also control their emotions. He started to request funds from people of Fontaine to expand his business over to the other worlds.
Both Vacher and Vigniere successfully managed to abduct more than 20 young women and dissolved them. One day, his lover touched the water and suddenly disappeared from Fontaine. There he became as Marcel and changed his identity. Marcel is also the name that Vacher and Vigniere planned to name their future child.
Frustrated by Vigniere’s dissolution, Marcel soon started to kidnap more young women of his lover’s age and experimented with the substance on them. He also became the most wanted criminal, but still he continued his research and experiments.
Marcel killed many people who tried to stop his research. He used to beat everyone who came against finding Vigniere. He did everything to find her lover, but none of these helped him.
Years passed and nothing worked for Vacher and he was finally caught by Traveler and Navia who deceived him. They tricked him to bring back Vigniere, but it’s revealed that it was only a trap for the NPC.
Vacher was killed eventually and he never managed to find Vigniere. He’s also the main antagonist for the 4th chapter of Archon Quest in the Genshin Impact 4.1 version.
Though Vacher was a successful business man during his initial period, he couldn’t find success and he eventually lost his lover in the process. Vigniere’s disappearance still seems to be a mystery and travelers are hoping to discover more about her in the upcoming Fontaine region events.
