Joe Rogan is one of the most popular UFC faces in the MMA business

Joe Rogan spoke about his duties during UFC 249 and claimed that the promotion is keen on getting it done.

Dana White suspended all UFC events after UFC Brasil but is adamant that 249 takes place. That is pencilled in for 18 April, but there is a doubt about the location of the fight.

Rogan was speaking on his podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience, and suggested that the US would not be the location for the fight.

“I don’t know how they’re going to do it. I don’t know if they’re gonna be able to do that in the United States.”

However, he did confirm that commentary duty was not going to be for him:

“They are talking about doing it in a place with less than ten people and then you know they’re just an open arena.

“I guess someone’s gonna commentate it, so it’s not gonna be me and they’re gonna be duking it out like in an empty place and they’re gonna try to do that on the 18th.”

The cursed fight

Rogan was also of the opinion that the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson fight was cursed.

The pair have been lined-up to meet four times in the past but something or another has happened always.

Ferguson and Khabib somehow have managed to pick up an injury on the eve of the fight, and it is to be seen if this one takes place.

Khabib vs Ferguson is the main event for UFC 249, and it will be interesting to see where this clash takes place.

The US seems unlikely to host the event, and an international venue has to be free of the coronavirus pandemic.

Fans won’t be allowed in the arena for health reasons, and all will be revealed in a few days.
