“Flower” contains six main levels and one credit level. Each level is represented by a flower in a pot on the windowsill of an apartment. By selecting one, the player is taken to their “dream”. In each level, a petal flies through the air as the player manipulates the wind. The tilt of the PlayStation 3 controller adjusts the pitch and roll of the floating petal. Pressing any button makes the wind blow harder, which in turn forces the petal to move faster.

Players can approach large groups of flowers and lines of flowers in each level; approaching them with a petal causes them to bloom and a new petal to trail behind. The camera generally follows just behind the petal, but sometimes it moves to illustrate a new objective.

The game environment is changed when the player approaches particular flowers or groups of flowers. These include expanding existing areas, converting brownfields into lush green ones, or turning on wind turbines.

This game is dark, with color used sparingly to highlight the player and certain parts of the environment. The player character is an unnamed boy who explores a surreal and mostly monochromatic environment.

Pomeranian runs out of pet food, so he now has to fend for himself in a wild and vicious Tokyo. All his bosses are fat cats, including one he fights with his children. At the end of the story, he establishes a small pack of Pomeranians. Sika deer fawns are seeking their mother in the hostile streets of Tokyo. Ecco The Dolphin: Defender of the Future
