Novak Djokovic wife Jelena Djokovic recently got into a war of words on Twitter with the admin of the Twitter account of a tennis magazine known as Raquet
A tweet from Racquet’s Twitter account wrote that Novak Djokovic entering tournaments hoping the rules will be modified for him is baffling. Jelena Djokovic spotted the tweet and quote retweeted it saying that she wasn’t sure if it was an actual Tennis magazine.
The admin of Racquet’s Twitter account posted another tweet tagging Jelena and saying that they would love to watch Djokovic playing in New York and hoped that Novak would follow the rules. Jelena stated that the Serbian legend gets slots in tournaments owing to his ranking. She questioned the logic behind the tweet.
The final tweet as of now has come from Jelena. She replied to their tweet where they wrote: “Not trying to disrupt your Friday night, but since you came our way, it’d be great to get him to take his stand by withdrawing from those events now so the whole tennis world isn’t talking about him not getting a shot for weeks to come. A stand is only a stand if one takes it.”
Jelena replied: “His most important stand is to be a tennis champion. And he took it. I mean, a stand is a stand. Given that you are a tennis magazine- maybe focus on that in the weeks to come? Take a stand. Be what you are meant to be. A tennis magazine that writes about tennis”.

8-time Grand Slam singles winner and former world No. 1 – Ivan Lendl shared his thoughts on the debate regarding who is the best among Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer.
Lendl feels that Roger Federer is out of the race as he has been out of action for over a year owing to injury. The former American tennis player said that he would love to see either Djokovic or Nadal take a bigger lead over the other in terms of most Grand Slams won so that answering the question regarding who is the better player can be made easier.
I’m disappointed with Novak, I’m disappointed with Rafa,” Lendl said. “At the moment, Roger seems to be out of it, because he hasn’t played for a long time and he is also the oldest. If Novak wins the most Grand Slams despite that, I think we will have an answer.
If Rafa wins one more title, I think he will have to answer the question about the vaccination and the fact that Novak could not play. And I don’t think that’s fair. I’d actually like to see someone have a 2, 3, 4 title advantage at the top.
I don’t care who it is, I don’t have a favorite. Just for the sake of answering that question, to be clear. And, not to say ‘If this man could play, maybe it would be different, your record is not that good.’ That is not fair,” the 62-year-old added.
