Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Legendary Pokemon – Locations, How to Catch

published

In this guide, we will tell you how to catch the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Legendary Pokemon. Do not miss out on these legendaries.

There are six Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Two of the Legendaries are Koraidon and Miraidon. There are four other legendaries found by finding four sets of eight colored stakes around the map (32 stakes in total). You can unlock a shrine where the legendary Pokemon will appear after you get all stakes of one color. These stakes are hidden throughout the map.

A legendary Pokemon that you unintentionally defeat will reappear in the same spot until you catch it. Therefore, they cannot be accidentally missed. So here are the locations of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Legendary Pokemon and also how to catch them.

Koraidon and Miraidon

Koraidon and Miraidon

Since Koraidon is a Fighting / Dragon Pokémon, its weaknesses are Ice, Flying, Psychic, Dragon, and Fairy, which deals four times more damage than it does. You should bring Baxcalibur, Beartic, Cloyster, Cetitan, Koraidon, Scream Tail Jigglypuff, and Gardevoir to this battle. In order to catch it, keep hitting it with its weaknesses without fainting it, and then throw your Master Ball or Ultra Ball.

Electric / Dragon-type, Miraidon is weak to Ice, Ground, Dragon, and Fairy attacks. Many of the Pokémon we listed to take down Koraidon are the same as taking down Miraidon, but because it’s not weak to Psychic, some slight adjustments need to be made. In order to combat it, you need Pokémon like Miraidon, Baxcalibur, Beartic, Closter, Cetitan, and Tinkaton. Use Ultra Balls or Master Balls to catch it once it’s in the red.

When you complete the main story, you’ll find the rival version of Koraidon (Scarlet) or Miraidon (Violet) waiting for you at the bottom of the Crater. Unfortunately, you cannot get both Legendaries at the same time. For players with Scarlet, you’ll encounter Koraidon, while for players with Violet you’ll encounter Miraidon. Koraidon and Miraidon are both at Level 72, so your team needs to be at least Level 65 before battling them.

You can enter the Research Station by stepping on the green portal and selecting Research Station number 4. After you have teleported out, leave the building and head down to the very bottom where the rival Legendary is waiting on top of an incline. Interact with it, and you can begin battling it. The other version exclusive to your Pokédex is the Koriadon or Miraidon that you can trade for to complete your Pokédex when you capture it. These are one of the best Scarlet and Violet Legendary Pokemon.

Wo-Chien

The 8 Purple Stakes unlock the Purple Shrine, which is where Wo-Chien is. The quest is like a treasure hunt, and this legendary is what you get as a reward. In order to reach some of the stake collectibles, your mount must be able to climb. You can unlock climbing by defeating False Dragon Titan (Level 55), the main story boss. This is very late in the game. Level 60 is the Pokemon itself.

As a way to control Pokemon up to Level 60 and catch high-level Pokemon more easily, you should have Pokemon in Level 60 range and you should have finished the 8 Gyms. Hence, you cannot miss this Legendary if you defeat it by accident. It will respawn behind the Shrine until you catch it successfully.

Bring a tonne of potions and revives to keep your crew alive and fighting throughout this battle. Throw Ultra Balls till it is caught once Wo-health Chien’s is so low that the bar turns red. This is a great Scarlet and Violet Legendary Pokemon.

Chi-Yu

It’s like a little treasure hunt and this legendary reward is a reward at the end. You must find all 8 Blue Stakes in order to unlock a Blue Shrine. You must unlock climbing for your mount in order to reach some stake collectibles. Defeating one of the main story bosses, False Dragon Titan (Level 55), unlocks climbing. It is at a very late point in the game that you unlock climbing.

For you to be able to fight the Pokemon, you should have Pokemon in the 60-level range, and you should have completed the 8 Gyms to be able to control Pokemon with a level up to 60 so that you can catch high-level Pokemon more easily. The Legendary will respawn behind the Shrine as soon as you defeat it, so you can’t miss it.

Beads of Ruin, an ability belonging to Chi-Yu, reduces the Special Defense stat of every Pokémon on the field by 25%. As a result, assume that Special Attacks will affect your squad more severely. If you must attack while using your strongest potions, use plenty of revives. Throw Ultra Balls till it is captured once your opponent’s health reaches zero.

Chien-Pao

After you’ve gathered all 8 Yellow Ominous Stakes in Paldea, you’ll need to head to the Shrine to battle Chien-Pao. You will need your team to be level 55 or higher when you hunt for Chien-Pao, as he is level 60. In addition to being weak to Fighting, it is also weak to Fire, Bug, Rock, Steel, and Fairy attacks.

It is best to have a team that can weaken it but not completely eliminate it. Sword of Ruin, the Ability of this ice leopard, decreases the Defense stat by 25%, which makes it easier to take down your team than usual. Make sure you bring Pokémon with food Defense stats or bulk them up before you arrive. Attack it with fire, rock, fairy, or steel attacks.

We advise employing Pyroar, Skeledirge, Tinkaton, and Arcanine. Throw Ultra Balls at it once it is weaker until it is caught.

Ting-Lu

To access Ting-Lu’s shrine, you must run around Paldea and collect all eight Green Stakes. Once you have pulled out the final Green Stake, proceed to the large round Green Shrine and face off with Ting-Lu. Before initiating this battle, your team must be at Level 55 or higher. Also, we recommend turning off auto savings and manually saving just before the battle starts. Ting-Lu is level 60 when you free it.

Tinkaton, Scyther, Vespiquen, Glalie, and Glaceon are good Pokémon to use against it since it is weak to Water, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Bug, and Fairy attacks. You may want to use Flying-type attacks instead if you’re well above Level 60 since they perform well, but aren’t very effective. Scyther and Vespiquen are still fantastic options in such a scenario.

Due to this moose’s ability, Vessel of Ruin, which reduces your team’s special attacks, it can take more strikes than normal to put it into the red. Throw Ultra Balls until you catch it once its health is down.

Conclusion

With every Ominous Stake collected and every Legendary captured, you can create a powerful Pokémon team. Prepare your Pokémon with Potions, Revives, and other boosts so that you can give your Pokémon a good shot against these harder opponents. Because they have unique abilities, they are harder to defeat than usual.

The rival Koraidon and Miraidon will be the hardest enemies, so this special ball might be the best choice if you are facing them. In order to obtain the Legendary exclusive that is not in your game, you can trade one of these dual-type Dragon Pokémon with another player once you have another one of them.

Keep in mind

It’s even possible to catch a second duplicate of each of the two main legendaries, Koraidon and Miraidon so that you can trade one with a friend and receive their version exclusive, while still keeping your copy.

To obtain any legendaries, you must defeat False Dragon Titan (Level 55), one of the main story bosses, before you can climb your mount. This takes place late in the game.
