As part of an ongoing campaign, Overwatch 2 PvE is expected to incorporate major plot developments. Overwatch 2 PvE Campaign Mode Release Date
According to Blizzard’s content roadmap, Overwatch 2’s PvE mode will release in 2023. We aren’t sure when the story mode will appear in Overwatch 2, but we know for sure it won’t arrive until after Season 2 runs out, so we don’t expect to see it before February 7.
Gameplay
In Overwatch 2, we already know what the PvE gameplay is going to be like. Every year, during the Halloween Terror Event, we play Junkenstein’s Revenge, the co-op PvE mode. It was amazing to play the sequel this year. In the thrilling co-op game mode, Junkenstein’s Revenge: Wrath of the Bride, the game did a fantastic job of creating a spooky atmosphere and captivating storytelling.
We already got to see the upcoming PvE missions at BlizzCon in 2019, when Jeff Kaplan announced Overwatch 2. It offered a variety of locations, different types of combat, and an amazing story and soundtrack. Several story missions were shown in the presentation, including those starring Mei, Tracer, Reinhardt, and Lucio.
They showed a map with highlighted cities in another clip, and Reinhardt said, “We have to fight one city at a time.” Route 66, Toronto, Paris, Ilios, Busan and Rio de Janeiro were among the highlighted cities in the gameplay trailer. It appears that these cities will be the locations where the heroes will face Null-Sector forces in co-op.
More Details
There are still a few details to be confirmed, but Overwatch 2 PvE is likely to feature a series of self-contained missions as part of an ongoing story campaign. The story missions are not yet known, but they will require cooperative teamwork to succeed without a doubt.
