“It’s a HEAD SCRATCHING-SLAP IN THE FACE”- Former NFL Quarterback isn’t pleased with the appointment of Jeff Saturday as the new Colts HC

When Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Isray called Jeff Saturday on Sunday night, to replace Frank Reich as the interim Head Coach of the team, even the latter was surprised to say the least. A player who has snapped too Peyton Manning for 12 seasons is all set to take charge of a team which has had no consistency in the first 9 weeks of the 2022-23 regular season.

Jeff Saturday has no coaching experience in the NFL, he knows his X’s and O’s to well to change the momentum of any team. Perhaps could be the biggest reason why Isray turned towards his former player. However, Saturday has had coaching experience for three years at Hebron Christian Academy in Georgia, where he led the team to a 20-16 record in 3 playoff appearances.

While the likes of Ryan Clark is excited to see how Jeff performs in the biggest football league, Robert Griffin III is one personnel who feels that the hardwork of various staff members in different coaching departments has once again gone unrecognized.

Robert Griffin III condemns Colts’ making Jeff Saturday as interim HC

Robert Griffin III wrote in his tweet, “Lots of tip toeing around the Jeff Saturday hiring for the Colts. Jeff was a BLAST to work with at ESPN, but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a HEAD SCRATCHING-SLAP IN THE FACE TO EVERY COACH ON THAT STAFF type of decision. Stephen A. Smith will be coaching the Nets next.”

Saturday played 13 seasons for the Indianapolis Colts, made the Pro Bowl six times, helped them win a Super Bowl and is a member of the team’s Ring of Honor.

“He is fully experienced enough,” Irsay showed immense experience in his signing and backed him against all odds, as per Pressdemocrat. “Yes, he is fully capable. He’s extremely smart. He’s extremely competitive. He understands the game.”
