Stephen Curry, the star player for the Golden State Warriors, hosted this year’s ESPY Awards. He became just the second NBA player to host that honor. Klay Thompson, a teammate of Curry’s, received the Best Comeback Athlete of the Year honor. After sitting out the final two seasons of his career, Klay returned and helped the Warriors win the championship.

Unfortunately, Joe Burrow, the quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, lost against Klay for the prize. Burrow returned to the NFL this season after he had suffered from a torn ACL and MCL in his rookie season.

After returning to play for the Bengals in the sophomore year of his NFL career, Burrow shocked everyone. He led the Bengals to the Super Bowl against all odds. Joe Burrow wasn’t able to get the job done at the Super Bowl against the Los Angeles Rams, and maybe that’s why he missed out on this award.

Joe Burrow has a big season ahead of him

With the new season of the NFL right upon us, Joe Burrow will be expected to start from where he left off last season. Many believe that the run made by the Bengals last season was a fluke. As a result, Burrow would love to prove all of them wrong by playing well this season also.

However, this time around, the competition for the Bengals will be quite tough. Their division has three teams that can legit make the Super Bowl. With Lamar Jackson back healthy, the Ravens will be the favorites to win the division.

On the other hand, the inclusion of Deshaun Watson in the Cleveland Browns has also made them a Super Bowl contender. This is why Joe Burrow and the Bengals need to hit the ground running, or else their road to the playoffs may become very tough.
