There are three factions in New World (Marauders, Syndicate, and Covenant), and players can form groups up to five members. There are node resources that players can use, items can be crafted, settlements can be controlled, quests can be completed, monsters can be fought, and players can form groups up to five people. As there are no auto-locked targeting attacks, it is important to aim with a steady hand.
As the levels progress, the hostile mobs will become increasingly complex and strong in their attacking behavior skill sets. With timed attacks, dodges, weapon blocks, retreats, or crawling stealth, the player will have to counter these attacks with their mana, stamina, and health.
There are presently options for the bow, hammer, hatchet, fire staff, life staff, musket, spear, sword/shield, and ice gauntlet on the weapon skill trees.
