2016 NBA Champion, Tristan Thompson has received a disheartening news on Thursday. His mother Andrea Thompson suffered a sudden heart attack at her Toronto home.
Currently, the sources have revealed that Tristan’s mother was immediately rushed to the hospital. The doctors tried to rescue her but unfortunately failed in their attempt. As soon as Tristan Thompson heard the saddening news of his mother, he reportedly left Los Angeles to be with his family in Toronto. As reported by TMZ.
Thompson’s mother left 4 boys behind in her family. Tristan being the eldest amongst the four. She was even a grandmother as Tristan is a father of two. The couple Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have a daughter of 4 and a son, 6 months old.
The 2010 McDonald’s All-American basketballer is yet to make comments, publicly on his mother’s demise. Reports have revealed that ex Khloe Kardashian has also accompanied Tristan to Toronto.
Tristian Thompson was very close to his mother
According to Tristan Thompson, his mother supported his family alone. Which is why, her sons try to see if she is doing fine, all the time. He assured that her mother is always taken care of whether she is stepping out of the house or even if she was getting a massage.
In a 2020 Mother’s Day post, Tristan Thompson wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day Mommy! One day isn’t enough to praise and lift you high, everyday is your day. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for me and my brothers. I love you and I’m soo lucky to have been chosen as your son❤️. Not all superheroes wear capes.”
He even discussed about his close connection with his mother in 2016, “Even though I don’t live at home and I’m four hours away from home, I talk to my mom every day – ask how the kids are doing, ask how she’s doing, too.”
“Everyone knows that my mom, she’s very dedicated in taking care of her sons – especially Amari. But at the same time, you need to make sure that she’s okay.”
