Stephen Curry was sensational from downtown as well shooting 8 of 14. The 3-Point King entered the night with 7,210 field goals in his career with the Dubs, second behind legendary Wilt Chamberlain’s 7,216. After his performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he now has 7,222 and counting, as per ESPN’s Marc J. Spears.

Safe to say, if it wasn’t for his injury, the 34-year-old could still have been in the MVP contention list. But keeping aside the speculations, at least we are all grateful to witness the legendary shooter at his peak.

Stephen Curry surpasses Wilt Chamberlain

While Stephen is already 34 years old, he surely has plenty of basketball left in him. And when it’s all said and done, there is no denying that he’ll go down as the greatest player to have represented the Golden State Warriors ever. Not many arguments should be made about why Steve Kerr is reckoned as one of the best coaches in the modern-day NBA, it’s largely due to Curry and his scoring prowess.

That being said, Stephen Curry’s Golden State Warriors would be now locking horns against the in-form Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets in their stretch of back-to-back games. Hopefully, the two-time MVP can lead the Dubs in the same fashion.
