WoW Mythic+ Tank Tier List: Which one to choose?

Protection Warrior

Dragonflight’s Protection Warrior tank has been a phenomenal class tree ever since it was released, and it is one of the best mythic+ tanks available. The only problem is that it has been constantly nerfed, but even with all of the nerfs, it is still one of the best trees. With this tree, you take what you want for your spec pretty much, and there’s a lot of synergy between the bleeds and how that stuff works between the class and spec trees.

The Prot Warrior has some of the best defenses for tanks, with Shield Block and Ignore Pain being up for pretty much 100% of the time, and the healing is more effective than ever, and they have a lot of utility, including low cooldown AOE, single target stuns, Commanding Shouts, and one of the strongest tiers sets out there.

Blood Death Knight

You can deal 5% more damage and receive 5% more healing when standing in Death and Decay, thanks to the Blood Dead Knight’s talents. When you’re in Death and Decay, everything is great, and you hit a shattering bone. Your Death and Decay drop off as you hit it, and now you’re only doing quarters of the damage that you would otherwise be doing with your big AOE nuke.

These mistakes are punished harshly when it’s played well, but it’s still a very tanky tank that is very self-sufficient. Additionally, tanks with them have the finest mob management in the game.
