EA Sports College Football 25 Overview

Popular video game franchise with a college football theme was the EA NCAA series, also called the NCAA Football series. The series was created by EA Sports and went through multiple revisions before being canceled.

Sadly, legal concerns about the unpaid use of college athletes’ likenesses led to the NCAA series’ cancellation following NCAA Football 14. Fans, however, still have pleasant memories of the series because of its captivating gameplay modes and realistic college football experience.

EA Sports College Football 25 Gameplay

Since this game is not yet released, let us travel back in time to talk about the last entry in the EA Sports College Football Series, The NCAA series used real team rosters, stadiums, marching bands, and traditions from numerous US universities in an effort to replicate the energy and excitement of college football.

Realistic player animations, gaming mechanics, and presentation were the main goals of the NCAA series. During games, the commentary crew offered context and insight, and stadiums were authentically recreated. Online competitions between players were possible in a number of game forms, such as dynasty leagues, ranked matches, and special events. The game’s competitive element and duration were enhanced by online play.

Dynasty mode, a series mainstay, gave players the ability to take charge of a college football team and steer it toward success over several seasons. This mode included arranging games, keeping track of team money, bringing in high school players, and aiming for national titles. Later incarnations of the series saw the introduction of Ultimate Team, which let players assemble their ideal team by gathering player cards that could be obtained through packs or earned via gaming. Both online and offline game formats could make use of teams.

Ultimate Team is a mainstay mode in another EA Sports franchise known as EA FC 24 ( The previous titles were called FIFA until EA lost the license). In the Road to Glory mode, users constructed a personalized football player and steered it through the college football career, from recruiting in high school to possibly winning the Heisman Trophy and getting selected in the NFL draft.

EA Sports College Football 25 Conclusion

As someone who attended Virginia Tech, this game takes me back to college where we used to bleed in Maroon and Orange, chanting Enter Sandman by Metallica during our team entrances and shouting “LETS GO HOKIES.” College football hits different and reminds everyone that in the end, there is still an innocent child in us who always feels that life was so much simpler back then. I am extremely glad that we are getting the EA Sports College Football back.
