How to start Destiny 2 Spire of the Watcher?

Before starting the Destiny 2 Spire of the Watcher, you must visit Ikora Rey in the Tower and pick up the Ares Desperado quest. Players must also have previously completed the Witch Queen introductory quest called The Arrival. This quest is free for all players. Now that you have the Arrival quest in your inventory, you can launch the Spire of the Watcher via Savathun’s Throne World. Keep an eye out for the dungeon icon next to the Enclave.

How to reestablish power?

In your first encounter for this quest, you have a single goal of reestablishing power. You must defeat Conduit Minotaurs, acquire the Arctician buff, and shoot nodes in the correct sequence to complete a node circuit.

  1. After defeating Conduit Minotaurs, stand in the pool where they drop to get Arctician.
  2. From the center hatch, follow the power cables to the generator.
  3. Using the power cable, follow the first node on the generator and fire until you reach the last.
  4. In this manner, each node will be activated one at a time.

Find nodes

Locate the four power nodes and the large hatch entering this small town area. Four generators are connected to them by cables. White arrows flash beside the starting node in a sequence at the generator.

As conduit minotaurs spawn, they will drop the Arctrician buff when defeated. These last for 30 seconds and allow the nodes to be activated. The first node should be at the power generator, and the next one should be along the cable. It is necessary to power up each node in the sequence. If a node is skipped over or activated incorrectly, it will deactivate shortly after that.

Conduit Minotaurs that spawn up before you will drop Actrician buffs when defeated. This buff lasts for 30 seconds and facilitates the activation of the nodes. The cable should start at the generator and pass to the next node. It is essential to power up the nodes in sequence. Skipping over a node or activating the wrong one will deactivate the node.

Ascending the Spire

Akelous, the Siren’s Current, is the first boss to face in the Spire of the Watcher. Arctricians again use buffs to charge nodes, sending the current to the ends of the boardwalks to activate fuel rods. It can damage Akelous’ eyes and core when all four are activated at once.

  1. Take the Arctrician buff after defeating Conduit Minotaurs
  2. The nodes are charged starting in the middle and going out to the fuel rods
  3. After shooting Akelous’ eyes, shoot its center mass
  4. As long as Akelous remains undefeated, repeat this step

Find Conduit Minotaurs

Akelous’ arena has a central area and four boardwalks leading to fuel rods. Nodes can only be charged from the center when a damage phase has been reached. You need to find the Conduit Minotaurs, defeat them, and take the Arctrician buff before you can begin to power up the fuel rods.

Akelous will enter a damage phase when all four fuel rods are activated. To prevent its central housing from becoming vulnerable. In each cycle, the maximum health of the animal can be damaged by up to 50 percent.

When the damage phase ends, Akelous will execute a massive concussive blast that can knock players off balance. If you need to get back to safety, slip onto the boardwalks or use your abilities.

Presys, the Primordial Ruin

At the end of the Spire of the Watcher dungeon, you will face Persys, the Primordial Ruin. Like other encounters, this boss’s arena also uses Arctrician buffs to power the nodes. This time, the player needs to activate a reactor core purge which will make Persys vulnerable.

  1. Collect the Arctrician buffs by defeating the Conduit Minotaurs.
  2. In order to begin the reactor core purge, activate the nodes.
  3. To close the door when you retreat to the opposite room, activate the nodes on the pillar and the node above the door.
  4. When the doors reopen, inflict damage upon Persys and keep repeating the process.

In the arena fight against Persys, Primordial Ruin has two sections: the reactor room and the safe room. Activating nodes with Arctrician buffs begins a reactor purge. You can seal Persys in by activating the nodes on the pillars and above the door in the safe room. For a short period of time, after the reactor purge is complete, the boss will be vulnerable.

Activate nodes

Start activating nodes in the reactor core room after defeating the Conduit Minotaurs. Upon activation, the screen will display Reactor Purge Imminent, Seek Safety. Return to the starting room at this point.

With the Arctrician buff, activate the nodes on the pillars, followed by the one at the door’s apex. As a result, Persys will be sealed inside the reactor. The doors will open once the purge is complete, making Persys vulnerable.
