By opening the Options screen and selecting the Social tab, players can add their friends on the same platform so they can play Modern Warfare 2. Select the Friends tab to view a list of users who share the same platform. Then fans can select the users they want to join an in-game group by using Invite to Party. The chosen users will receive invitations, which they will be able to accept.
Activision ID
It is necessary to find the Activision ID of your friends in order to invite them to Modern Warfare 2. It is advised for players to open the Social Hub and enter the Options just like before to add someone from a different platform. Then select Add Friends from the Friends tab. A text field will appear where players can input their friends’ Activision IDs.
During Modern Warfare 2, fans can access the Settings menu by clicking the gear icon in the upper-right corner. You will find your Activision ID under the Account & Network tab, which is accompanied by a tower and signal icon. This section consists of different sections, including Online, Network, Content Filters, and Credits. When adding friends to Modern Warfare 2, select the Activision Account, the first option below Online. A page will appear revealing the ID needed to play cross-platform.
Keep in mind
Players do not have to use their Activision IDs if they are using the same platform as a friend and cannot see them on their Friends List. Instead, they can simply select Search in Friends below the Don’t Know Your Activision ID prompt. This will show all players they have befriended outside of Modern Warfare 2.
