WWE Survivor Series 2020 Results and Grades: Redemption for Lana and Jey Uso

WWE Survivor Series 2020 results and grades: Survivor Series, one of WWE’s biggest PPVs, took place with some spice missing from the last event.

NXT did not have any part to play in this PPV due to Covid but there were still some incredible Raw vs SmackDown clashes to look into.

Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre took on Roman Reigns in the main event of Survivor Series (WWE)

The big match was Roman Reigns (SmackDown) vs Drew McIntyre (Raw) but this was also The Undertaker’s final farewell after 30 years in WWE.

However, we start off the Survivor Series 2020 results and grades piece with more kick-off matches.

Battle Royal

The first match, as part of the kick-off show, featured a Battle Royal with stars such as Dominik Mysterio, Rey Mysterio, Angel Garza, Kalisto, Jeff Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, Ricochet, The Miz and Dolph Ziggler participating.

In the end, it was the Miz who got the win after some confusion if he was sent over the rope or not.

Miz wins Battle Royal

Grade C

The Miz used his smarts to get the win but these Battle Royals don’t work, especially since there is no story to bring out.

Men’s Survivor Series match

AJ Styles led the Raw team out (Sheamus, Matt Riddle, Keith Lee and Braun Strowman) as they took on Team SmackDown (Otis, King Corbin, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and Jey Uso).

While Raw came into this clash being completely out of sync, they put in a surprise win getting all five eliminations.

Raw beats SmackDown 5-0

Grade C

The lack of some big names hurt this and this clash didn’t really click like it did last year. NXT missing was a problem but SmackDown getting wiped out was interesting.

Street Profits vs New Day

The Street Profits (SmackDown tag champs) took on their counterparts from Raw (New Day) in the next match of the evening.

In a hard-fought match, it were the Street Profits that picked up the win.

Profits beat New Day

Grade A

WWE had been teasing a clash between these two for a while and it delivered. There were no shenanigans, no-nonsense spots, just quality all around.

Bobby Lashley vs Sami Zayn

The Intercontinental Champion, Sami Zayn, took on Bobby Lashley, the US Champion in the next match.

Zayn tried to use some sneaky ways to get the better of Lashley but the All Mighty got the win via submission.

Lashley beats Zayn

Grade C

Zayn using his wrestling IQ to get the win made a lot of sense since he couldn’t match Lashley for power. However, the All Mighty getting a clean win was also interesting, despite it being a squash match.

Asuka vs Sasha Banks

The two women champions from Raw and SmackDown battled next. While Sasha Banks had been attacked by Carmella leading up to the show, this was another quality match.

Asuka and Banks put on quite a show and it was Banks who got the win over the Raw champion.

Banks beats Asuka

Grade A

Banks has been a star for WWE since her feud started with Bayley and her getting the win made sense.

Both women put on quite a show and it was an incredible match.

Women’s Survivor Series match

Bayley, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair and Natalya made up team SmackDown as they took on the dysfunctional Raw team (Lana, Peyton Royce, Lacey Evans, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler).

However, there was a huge surprise as Bayley was eliminated early and despite Lana struggling in the match, it was the Ravishing Russian who wasn’t eliminated since Belair and Jax were fighting outing the ring and got counted out.

Raw beats SmackDown 5-4

Grade C

This was another horrible ending to the match as the finish was far from great. Lana getting the win was expected but she didn’t achieve it and got it through sheer luck.

Some of the women looked great in the match but there weren’t too many positives.

McIntyre vs Reigns

In a battle for the ages, McIntyre and Reigns went head to head. There were a lot of close calls as McIntyre even tried to use a submission on Reigns but failed to get the win.

Jey Uso made an appearance once the referee was hurt and Reigns delivered a low blow to McIntyre.

Uso hit him with a kick before Reigns got the win via a guillotine choke.

Reigns beats McIntyre

Grade A

Reigns vs McIntyre was great on its own but Uso making up for his cousin pushed the match to another level.

WWE have done extremely well with this storyline and even Reigns’ win is questionable as he needed to cheat to win, but that is what the Big Dog will do to win.

The night ended with the farewell to the Undertaker as many stars from the past bid farewell to the Phenom. Undertaker appeared and even a hologram of Paul Bearer was shown as the Phenom knelt down.

Taker walked back up the ramp and raised his hand the show ended.
