WWE NXT Preview: NXT TakeOver: Tampa might have been cancelled but there are some incredible matches set up for this week’s show.
Two titles will be defended on the show while another big name is set to make his debut in the ring. Dominik Dijakovic will also get his hands on Johnny Gargano, and that rivalry has been simmering since the match was announced last week.
However, the talking points are the two title reigns, and this is where we being with our WWE NXT preview.
Cole vs Dream
Adam Cole is the longest-serving NXT Champion but that will be under threat as he finally goes up against Velveteen Dream.
Dream has been a nightmare for Cole in recent weeks, and it will be interesting to see if he can dethrone the champion.
Dream has picked up wins over several Undisputed Era members recently. However, can he take his opportunity with both hands this week?
Flair vs Shirai
Io Shirai has been incredibly impressive since coming to NXT. She has taken on all challengers and is to face the NXT Women’s Champion next.
However, this is no normal NXT Champion. Charlotte Flair is possibly one of the greatest WWE stars ever, and this is going to be an exciting battle.
Shirai could pick up the NXT crown on this week’s show, but it won’t be easy against the Queen.
Dijakovic vs Gargano
Gargano and his wife, Candice LeRae, have turned heel and for good measure. The pair have been great since Gargano’s fight against Tommaso Ciampa, and but there is going to be a tough test on this week’s show.
Gargano goes up against Dijakovic, and there has already been a lot said about the husband-wife pair by Dijakovic.
This should be an interesting clash as the rivalry has grown recently and LeRae could play a part in all this too.
A big debut
Karrion Kross left a mark on Ciampa a few weeks back, and Doomsday will make his debut on this week’s NXT.
Scarlett Bordeaux is also to be present by the side of Kross, and this should make for interesting viewing.
Kross was one of the top stars before coming to WWE, but can he continue his destructive ways on NXT?
