Tommy Dreamer claims Daniel Bryan joining AEW would be better than Jon Moxley’s move

Could AEW be one option for Daniel Bryan if he doesn’t renew WWE contract and leaves?

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Daniel Bryan saw out his WWE contract around the time he faced Roman Reigns on SmackDown.

The career vs title match required Bryan to leave the Blue brand if he lost, which he did. That has led to rumours that this is the end of the line for Bryan.

The Leader of the ‘Yes!’ Movement himself stated his desire to take it slow considering his age and told how he would love to be an independent contractor.

And since then, his future in pro wrestling has been up for debate. Will he leave WWE? Will he sign a new contract? or Will he join a competitor in AEW?

The answer to these questions remain unclear. But on the latest episode of the Busted Open podcast, former WWE wrestler Tommy Dreamer stated how big a draw Bryan would be for AEW.

Tommy Dreamer thinks AEW move could work out well for Daniel Bryan

Dreamer stated that WWE should get Bryan to renew his terms and lighten his schedule considering the American is still a massive draw.

But if that doesn’t work out, Tommy says, then AEW would be a good option for both parties. And he added how Bryan joining the WWE rivals would be a bigger moment for the promotion than when they signed Jon Moxley (AKA Dean Ambrose) from WWE.

“For him? The world is wide open for him [Bryan]. I’m sure he could come back- I don’t know if WWE would give him a relaxed schedule, but, I would, because he is a proven draw. he’s a proven guy who can get anything over. And I would love to keep him in my company. If not, straight up, AEW. He would be as big, or bigger, I feel bigger Jon Moxley jumping to AEW and/or Christian… and New Japan.”

Bryan would undoubtedly be the biggest draw on AEW if he does decide to join them. However, there is no indication that he will actually make that move.

In the past 2 years, a number of ex-WWE stars have joined Tony Khan’s promotion. Christian, Sting, Big Show, Dean Ambrose, Cody Rhodes, and Chris Jericho are just some of the former WWE stars making the jump from WWE to AEW.
