The Rock revealed the role of Vince McMahon when he was at WWE

Dwayne Johnson, AKA ‘The Rock‘, is one of the most famous personalities and recognized names on this planet.

Let alone wrestling, he is a star in the TV and fitness industry who could even run for President of the USA one day.

But all of that started somewhere. The Rock made it big on WWE, a promotion he joined all the way back in 1996.

And this is where he first met Vince McMahon, the CEO of WWE. Earlier, this week, The Rock was doing a sort of a Q&A with his fans as a way to promote ‘Young Rock’, a TV show on NBC based on his life.

One of the fans asked him what role Vince played in his life, and The Rock replied by saying that their relationship went beyond that of a boss and a worker.

Instead, he described him as a father figure and a ‘business mentor’, indicating that their relationship carried on from the show into their real lives.

Another message that gave an insight into what drove The Rock to become the man that he is today was related to a WWE Hall of Famer.

The fan wrote that it was nice seeing Randy Savage being portrayed on his show, Young Rock.

Savage is one of the most iconic figures in wrestling history, and The Rock proceeded to state that he was one of his childhood idols.

Savage also spoke about The Rock fondly and the two legends had cordial relations. ‘Macho Man’ sadly passed away in 2011.

The Rock became inactive in WWE by the mid-2010s but officially announced his retirement from the sport on 3rd August 2019.
