WWE confirmed that Mauro Ranallo was going to leave the company and wished him the best
WWE and NXT commentator, Mauro Ranallo, and the promotion have come to an agreement leading to his departure from the company.
Ranallo was one of the best commentators in the world of professional sport and also used to call Bellator and boxing matches.

The 50-year-old originally joined the SmackDown roster in 2015 and then had a hiatus before returning to NXT on 2017.
He became the voice of the Black and Gold brand and provided several big moments too. However, there was friction in WWE with his signing. Ranallo stopped featuring on SmackDown shows due to alleged bullying but he claimed such stories were not true.
JBL was reported to have been the one doing this the most but Ranallo came back to voice NXT and he did an amazing job at that.
The release from WWE didn’t mention anything about where Ranallo was going or what his future projects could be.

He could end up joining AEW but the Canadian has other projects up his sleeve too.
WWE stars thank Ranallo
This comes as a bit of a loss to WWE as Ranallo was one of the best behind the desk. They might have found a replacement in Wade Barrett as the former King of the Ring was the commentator on NXT recently and he did a pretty good job.
WWE has released several big talents over the past six months or so. Jon Moxley remains their biggest loss as he is the champion on AEW.
A lot of smaller stars have also joined up rival brands and it will be interesting to see what is next for Ranallo.
Nevertheless, many WWE stars thanked the 50-year-old for all his hard work and wished him the best for the future.

I cannot thank my friend Mauro enough for his time spent with NXT. You are an incredible announcer and talent and I’ll miss our lovely “old British wrestling” and life chats. https://t.co/pKl23lwmgQ

Many WWE fans also tweeted their reactions to this and some even brought up the fact that Cathy Kelley and Renee Young had left the promotion in recent months.
WWE has let go of its most talented commentator in the company Mauro makes matches 10 times better and this will be missed WWE have made some poor decisions recently in not convincing Renee and Mauro to sign new contracts and stay

A tremendously talented man. I wish him all the best going forwards.

This is depressing news, right after I said I was a huge NXT mark too 😭
Mauro was a refreshing anti-Michael Cole type of commentator (the way Corey Graves or Tom Phillip's are)
If the Iiconics are forced to break up tonight I'm really gonna be fed up 😬

Only respect to Mauro, a man who truly got what it was like to be an announcer in this crazy business. Will go down as one of the best for the few years he was here. I can’t wait to see what he does in the future!!!

The pairing of Mauro, Nigel, and Beth was such a solid team of announcers, his calls will definitely be missed 😢
