Shayna Baszler and Bianca Belair co-hold a very impressive Royal Rumble record

WWE RAW superstar Shayna Baszler is confident of breaking her own Royal Rumble record this month which she shares with Bianca Belair. The Royal Rumble 2021 PPV takes place on January 31st.

In the 2020 Royal Rumble, Baszler and Belair set an impressive women’s Royal Rumble record. She entered at #30 and went on to eliminate 8 female contestants.

She eliminated Xia Li, Tegan Nox, Shotzi Blackheart, Toni Storm, Zelina Vega, Carmella, Naomi, and Beth Phoenix. However, she could not win as she was eliminated by the eventual winner, Charlotte Flair.

Flair won the Rumble after eliminating Baszler. Interestingly, Baszler was not the first women to eliminate 8 wrestlers in the women’s Royal Rumble.

Bianca Belair, another WWE NXT superstar, had already achieved that feat in that very Royal Rumble. Belair entered at #2 and eliminated 8 superstars before being eliminated by The Queen.

Shayna Baszler has her own Royal Rumble record in sights

And now, Baszler, the former WWE women’s tag team champion, wants to break her own record. WWEonFOX tweeted asking fans if any wrestler would better Baszler and Bianca’s record this year.

The Queen of Spades replied to it by saying “Me”. Perhaps she isn’t too happy with having to share it with Belair.

Or, maybe she just wants to better her own record. Nevertheless, if she does manage to break her own record, it would make for a very excitement viewing.

Comparing their record with the men’s Royal Rumble, it is still a long way from the 13 eliminations record by Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. However, women’s Royal Rumble was held for the first time just 3 years ago.

Compared to that, the men’s edition has been going on for more than 3 decades.
