Before John Cena and Nikki Bella, each married their respective partners, the couple used to be one of the most popular and famous couples on the entire roster. They dated for around 6 to 7 years before eventually breaking up because of their issues.
Cena is currently a married man. He is currently married to Shay Shariatzadeh. However, before his wedding to Shariatzadeh, he was engaged to his former beau, Nikki Bella. Cena proposed to Bella in 2017 after their match at WrestleMania 33. However, the couple would break up a year later.
The entire roster expected big things out of the couple, and even the fans shipped them. However, no sooner did their breakup news come out, everyone was heartbroken.
Nikki Bella revealed what made her proceed to her current wedding with her old wedding dress
Their breakup would occur a few days before their wedding date. And, during that very moment, Nikki Bella had already her wedding dress. However, in an interview, she revealed that despite the history of her dress, she decided on going with it.
Bella said, “For me, it [reflects] how I stand as a strong woman, I was like wait, why should I not wear what I love? Because of my past?” The WWE Hall-of-Famer further stated that it made no sense to her, and she decided on going ahead with it. Nikki Bella also clarified that her current husband was not bothered with it, and instead saw it as a materialistic thing.
Artem Chigvinstev was not bothered by Nikki Bella’s wedding dress
The former WWE Divas Champion wore the dress at her wedding, which she was supposed to wear during her wedding ceremony with John Cena. However, despite such a past to it, she stood on her stance and wore it.
It did not bother her husband Artem Chigvintsev. He instead claimed that people reacting to it would be just interfering in their happiness. He said,” I think [if there’s] an issue with it, they’re bringing some other energy into our happiness.” The Russian dancer and husband to Nikki Bella would further conclude that this situation did not bother him at all.
Currently, Bella and Chigvintsev are parents to a child. The couple tied the knots in 2022. Cena and Bella broke up in 2018, and while Cena married in 2020, Nikki Bella waited two more years to marry her partner from her dance show, Artem Chigvintsev in 2022.
