Kacy Catanzaro shocked her boyfriend Ricochet after an incredible finisher on WWE NXT
The women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic finally got underway this week on WWE NXT. The first match featured the underdogs Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter taking on the favourites Mercedes Martinez and Toni Storm.
The painfully one-sided match saw the KCs being dominated by Storm and Martinez. However, an intervention by Io Shirai turned the match on its head.
Shirai was coming back from an injury that was caused by Martinez, and she took her revenge by tossing the Latina Sensation over the announcer’s table.
With the referee focused on the action at ringside, the KCs had the perfect opportunity. What followed, though, had the fans off their seats. Catanzaro hit an insane finisher off the top rope.
It was like a… well, we are out of words to provide an explanation for what it actually was. You can watch in the video shared by WWE NXT below.
It got the nod from Triple H too, who tweeted that this finisher, which is yet to be named, was the perfect display of the strength and athleticism of the women’s division of NXT.
In all fairness, Hunter has done an amazing job with the women’s division on the Gold Brand. It continues to house the most exciting talents and the most exciting storylines.
Kacy Catanzaro impresses boyfriend Ricochet with her finisher
On hand to react to the amazing finisher was Catanzaro’s boyfriend, Ricochet. The WWE RAW star has been in a relationship with the NXT sensation since at least 2019.
And he was left spellbound with what his partner did in the ring to secure a massive upset on the first-ever match of the women’s Dusty Classic.
Catanzaro seems to only date athletic men. She was dating fellow American Ninja Warrior contestant Brent Steffensen before moving on to Ricochet.
Ricochet is also known for some crazy moves in the ring, and a tag team of the WWE pair would be fireworks.
The Dusty Classic is off to a great start, with an iconic moment coming from the team people would have least expected it from.
It remains to be seen if the KCs can go all the way; that, however, is a big ask considering the talent that is on display in the tournament.
