Johnny Gargano got his wife, Candice LeRae, in on the action at NXT TakeOver: XXX
It has been a tough few days for WWE star Johnny Gargano. The former NXT Champion was the victim of a horrible botch on Wednesday but he was still able to book his ticket for TakeOver: XXX.
The match at the special was for the NXT North American title and Gargano fought against four others for the gold.
Things weren’t easy for either of the stars as they had to climb a ladder to get the gold. It was Damian Priest who finished the night on top of the ladder, but Gargano had a chance to get the gold too.
However, things didn’t go well for Johnny TakeOver in this event. He was the smallest man in the ring but that didn’t stop him from giving it his all.
Gargano also sought help from his wife, Candice LeRae, and there was one incredible moment where she executed a head-scissors perfectly.
LeRae was on top of the ladder and she tried to take down Bronson Reed. However, things didn’t work out well here as Reed jumped off to land on Gargano at the bottom.
Gargano’s botch was dangerous, and this was another tough spot for him. However, credit has to be handed to Gargano as he has a great sense of humour:

What’s next for Gargano?
It will be interesting to see what is next for Johnny Wrestling next. He was close to getting the gold at TakeOver: XXX but just missed out.
He could be one of those who challenge Priest for the title next. However, Cameron Grimes, Velveteen Dream and Reed also came close to becoming the champion.
Gargano might also need some time to recover from this slam, and that could see him take some well-deserved time away from WWE.
