Edge shares details of when Beth Phoenix busted her head open at Royal Rumble 2020

Edge and Beth Phoenix are arguably WWE’s power couple right now. The two of them are immensely supportive of each other and always seem to have each other’s backs.

The Rated R Superstar showed a glimpse of his affection for his wife again this week as he praised her for being brave after sustaining a head injury at last year’s WWE Royal Rumble.

Phoenix had a 5-day notice to participate in the women’s Rumble in January 2020. And in-between the match, she hit her head on the ring post.

What followed was profuse bleeding from her head, as her blonde hair slowly turned red with time. What made this more shocking was the fact that she was in that ring for over 27 minutes.

She came in at #19 and was the 28th wrestler to be eliminated. All this while, she sustained a cut to her head and kept fighting.

Edge shared a post yesterday about him return to WWE at Royal Rumble, just like he did last year as well. Although, he did mention that the return would not be the same this year without the fans.

Posting about the PPV again this week, he chose to share how Beth the Glamazon braved a shocking head injury last year.

Edge also revealed that Phoenix had to get 6 staples to the back of her head for the injury. Phoenix, who is now a full-time commentator at the promotion, is not likely to be at the Rumble this year.

The WWE Hall of Famer has been an iconic wrestler in the women’s division, and much like her husband, continues to give wrestling fans moments to remember.
