This week’s WWE RAW saw Sonya Deville go over Adam Pearce’s head to overturn the decision to suspend and fine Charlotte Flair from the show.

‘The Queen’ was suspended by Pearce last week after she attacked referee Eddie Orengo following her loss to Asuka. But Deville thinks that was a rushed decision. (h/t WrestlingInc)

“I honestly thought Adam’s decision was a little rushed. He didn’t hear Charlotte out and made a dramatic decision by suspending one of the biggest stars on RAW. We need to understand that Charlotte is just human and she made a mistake. She has apologized now, and it’s time we all move forward. End of the day, Charlotte is a top star, and why would you want her gone? As a business person, I don’t think that was a smart decision by Adam.”

It was a day filled with apologies. Just before this, Flair also recited an apology to the ref while he returned the favour to her.

And Deville also made it a point to make sure that she apologized to Pearce backstage as well as after the show.

She stated that she was just trying to do what she thinks is the best for both brands, and what is ‘right and fair’.

“I am trying to do what’s right and fair. Sorry if Adam thought I tried to undermine him. I’m trying to do what’s best for both brands.”

Pearce stormed off backstage after a conversation with the two women and hearing their apologies. He said, “You’re sorry? I might actually accept that apology, if I actually believed it!”

And later on, he reacted on Twitter to add to that. His opinions hadn’t changed by then and he wrote that he has been in the business for a while and that he knows what is really up.

Flair even had a singles match on the night where she took on Deville’s ex-tag team partner, Mandy Rose. She won comprehensively via pinfall and it seems ‘The Queen’ is here to stay.
