About Trick Daddy

Maurice Samuel Young, often known as Trick Daddy, was born at Miami, Florida’s Jackson Memorial Hospital on September 27, 1974. Along with his mother, Pearl Brockington, and his ten siblings, he was raised in the Liberty Square apartment block in Liberty City. When Trick Daddy and his brother resided with their local pimp father, Charles Young, they began distributing crack cocaine on the streets. He was advised to concentrate on his music career by the founder of Slip-N-Slide Records after serving time for attempted murder in jail.

He began his career in the music industry by appearing on the track “Scarred” by Luther “Luke” Campbell in 1996. His debut album, Based on a True Story, was released by Slip-n-Slide Records in 1997 and was popular in Miami. Trick Daddy removed “Dollars” from his stage name for his second album, www.thug.com, which featured the hit single “Nann Nigga” featuring Trina. He signed with Atlantic Records in 1998 and released Book of Thugs: Chapter AK Verse 47 that year. He had several hit singles, including “I’m a Thug” and “Let’s Go”, and collaborated with DJ Khaled on several tracks. Trick Daddy left Slip-n-Slide in 2008 and released his 8th studio album Finally Famous: Born a Thug Still a Thug under his own label, Dunk Ryder Records. He continues to tour and perform across the United States.

Rapper Trick Daddy, who is from Florida, has run into trouble with the authorities several times. He was sentenced to 15 months in jail in 1993 for possessing cocaine, carrying a hidden firearm, and breaking the terms of his probation. In 2003, he was charged with drug and gun offences and admitted guilt on cocaine and weapon counts. He was hauled into jail in 2020 for drunk driving after being detained once again in 2014 for having drugs and a gun. Police found cocaine in his possession after searching him. His bail for both offences was set at $6,000.

Why has he spent $60,000 on his teeth?

Trick Daddy, the Miami hip-hop artist, has replaced his gold grills with porcelain veneers, spending $60,000 on his first dental appointment in 15 years. The gold caps he had put on in 1994, which appeared on the cover of his 2002 album Thug Holiday, deteriorated his teeth, and he had to undergo bone loss surgery.
