To nobody’s surprise, Nike produced a commercial featuring LeBron James based on him going into the 20th season of his career – and it has been a trending commercial since it came out before the season began.

In the commercial created by Wieden + Kennedy, Nike aimed to show LeBron going head to head with time – in fact, literally. LeBron went up against “Father Time” himself in the gym, the court and the Karaoke bar – while many people asked who is playing Father Time.

It turns out that American actor Jason Momoa is playing Father Time in Nike’s latest LeBron James commercial.

The Aquaman and Game of Thrones actor is nearly unrecognisable as he donned regal robes in Crown Purple and a Gandalf beard in the advertisement. Fans were surprised to find out that it is actually Momoa behind the look, further adding to the advertisement’s booming publicity.

Twenty years at the top of the game is a big achievement, and it is no surprise that Nike wanted to cash in on the unbelievable achievement of their premier athlete.
