Kendrick Perkins has claimed that the Los Angeles Lakers have no chance of winning the title with LeBron James and Anthony Davis after their loss to the Utah Jazz.

The Los Angeles Lakers stumbled to their third defeat on the trot this season after they suffered a 139-116 loss to Utah Jazz on the road. It was a performance devoid of inspiration as the Lakers went down to the Jazz, meaning that the Lakers are yet to win on the road this season.

The result acted as yet another nail in the coffin of this Lakers’ generation, who have now been outplayed by almost every team that they have faced this season. The 2-8 start to the season despite plenty of reinforcement to the Lakers’ core of LeBron James and Anthony Davis might foreshadow an end to this generation of Lakers – at least according to Kendrick Perkins.

What did Kendrick Perkins have to say about LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers’ title hopes?

Kendrick Perkins ripped into the Lakers’ hierarchy and asked them to prepare for the future without the pair of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Former NBA professional and current analyst Kendrick Perkins claimed that the Lakers have no chance of winning the title with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Even though LeBron did not play the game because of an injury and watched from the sidelines, Perkins did not hold back as he forced his opinion that he does not think that the Lakers will win the Championship with the pair.

Perkins took to his Twitter account following the game to write: “LeBron and AD chances on winning another Championship together in a Lakers uniform is over!!! Might be time for Rob Pelinka to make some decisions and start building for the future. Carry the hell on…”

With rumors of Anthony Davis being put up for a trade going around already and James being in the twilight years of his career, a Lakers rebuild is most definitely in the making.
