WWE shocked the world with their decision to release Zelina Vega and her future is a huge talking point
The WWE Universe was left in shock after the release of Zelina Vega from the promotion.
Vega was one of the rising stars on SmackDown and had even fought Asuka for the Raw Women’s title recently.
She had split up with Andrade and Angel Garza and started a proper singles career in WWE. Vega had mostly been used as a manager and was great on the microphone. However, many would have forgotten that she was excellent in the ring during her TNA days and even won the Knock outs tag titles.
Vega seemed set for a great run on SmackDown after her draft but was released just hours before the latest episode.
While there are rumours of her being released due to her Twitch stream and a tweet about wanting to unionise, Vega still thanked all her fans for supporting her in this journey.

The wife of Aleister Black, Vega, certainly is one of the big names in the business and has a bright future ahead of her.
However, the big question is what will be her next step?
New projects or a new promotion?
The obvious question about Vega’s future will revolve around the other promotions. Impact and AEW are two of WWE’s rivals and both have signed many of the released wrestlers in the past.
AEW has a plethora of ex-WWE talent and some of them are doing really well. Impact and AEW both have decent female rosters and adding Vega into the mix would be a boost for both.
Vega would probably have a no-compete clause in her WWE release and could join a promotion once that lapses.
That is often three months long, and so far, no noises have come as to where she might be heading.
Vega is one of the most talented females in the wrestling business and this is beside her in-ring abilities and work on the microphone.
She is an excellent cosplayer and one of the most popular people on Twitch. Vega also has her own YouTube channel with her husband, and these are some avenues that could be explored.
She has also featured in a WWE movie, about Paige, and has acted in other movies too. While she is a little emotional after the sudden release, the future seems bright for Vega.
Whether she ends up on AEW or goes on to pursue other interests, La Muneca will excel in that field. She still has a lot of wrestling left in her and it will be interesting to see what is next for her.
