Valorant Harbor Gameplay and Abilities

High Tide

With this ability, Harbor equips a wall of water and fires it to send the water in the front along the ground. When you hold the fire, you can steer the water in the direction of your crosshair and create a wall along its path. The Alt fire can assist you when you bend to stop the water. Once the players are hit with it, they will become slow.

The slowing effect should act as a deterrent to enemy players on the Fracture map since it has a long duration. There is an interesting dynamic in the Fracture map where attackers can attack from both sides at once, outmaneuvering the defenders. Rotating quickly from one site to another is also unique. Here, Harbor can slow down the enemies and make a way for the attackers to kill them.

With Harbor’s water wall ability in High Tide, choke points can be walled off with exceptional effectiveness. Harbor players can wall off multiple entry points to a site with just a single wall, and they can also restrict access to popular hiding spots with their control over how they place the wall.

Cove (Q)

As Harbor’s second ability, he can throw a shield water sphere. With Alt fire, he can throw it underhand. The water shield stops bullets from passing through, so it can be extremely useful in clutch situations. The play style of Harbor forces enemies to either use abilities or push through the Cove in order to defeat opponents.

In most Spike-related situations, Harbor’s Cove will be most useful. Whether you or a teammate need to plant or defuse the spike, Harbor can place his Cove. You can use this ability in almost all the maps and during clutch situations too. You can use the Cove ability to bring your water shield and then if anyone is around, you can block the bullets from hitting.

Harbor is a support agent so this is the best thing that he can support the team with. Keep in mind that the bullet-blocking shield on Cove is breakable; as soon as it is destroyed, bullets can flow through and the Cove will vanish in a split second.

Cascade (C)

Another wall-type ability is the cascade. Players will need to reuse Harbor’s ability to stop the wave from going further. The wave of water travels in the direction of the Harbor’s aim and passes through walls. The standstill wave slows enemies, while the wave of repulsion acts as a visual barrier.

This ability is not something very powerful that will protect you and your teammates totally and also give attacking chance. However, you can use it in maps like Ice Box. Ice Box is a challenging map because of its verticality, tight angles, choke places, and extended rotations. You can make use of Harbor’s Cascade here because it has some tight angles and a few small places. You will just have to avoid using it in large open areas.

Reckoning (X)

With Harbor’s water manipulation skills, he can summon a geyser pool that causes successive geyser strikes that concuss enemy players. Harbor’s ultimate is an Area of Effect ability. This ability is extremely useful when clearing out strong defense positions or small, close areas such as bomb sites.

Best time and map to use Reckoning

As this is an area of effect ability, you can use it in long maps. In retakes or executions, Harbor’s Reckoning is a very useful tool to clear out areas. Enemy players are forced to leave the area, or they risk getting concussed by geysers. The ultimate blast hits anyone within its radius with three consecutive blasts, so your opponents would have to leave the area or risk being killed. Each blast only concusses an opponent for a few seconds.

You can use this ability strongly in Breeze. Breeze has a lot of visual value in addition to having vast open areas, expansive sightlines, several flank choices, and large doorways. Therefore, with the help of Reckoning, you can force the opponents to leave that area.
