Here is the Valorant character tier list that will help you to find out the best characters in the game along with the best agent for each role.
As agents of the VALORANT Protocol, players control characters that serve as different classes with four abilities, most of which can be unlocked by progressing through their Contracts. The first five agents that are available to players immediately are Brimstone, Jett, Phoenix, Sage, and Sova.
All other agents are unlocked by completing Tier 5 of their agent contracts. By completing the Play to Unlock contract and earning free agent unlocks at Tiers 5 and 10, new players will be able to unlock two additional agents instantly, which will grant them XP immediately when they reach Tier 5 of their contract and recruit them.
A player will be assigned one of four roles based on the abilities and playstyle of each agent. Agents have a 100 base HP that can be increased with shields. Furthermore, there are four abilities, including a Signature and an Ultimate for all the agents. You will need the best agent if you want to win against your opponents. Several factors contribute to this tier list, including popularity in competitive play, synergy with top-tier picks, and Riot Games’ latest balance changes. Riot is striving to strike a balance between gunplay and abilities. It is possible that our tier list is not what exactly you were expecting. Different players have different play styles and for someone, a character from the lower tier might be the best. Therefore, it is totally normal for you to try out characters from the lower tiers.
Best Agents for each role
Jett (Duelist)
As far as Valorant agents go, Jett is by far the best. Since Jett was introduced, she has managed to stay at the top, and her dynamic list of abilities is one of the reasons she is the most preferred agent in Valorant. Jett has incredible mobility thanks to abilities like Drift, Updraft, and Tailwind that allow her to take down enemies quite easily while giving herself sufficient time to survive. Jett is an offensive agent that takes down enemies quite easily. All of this allows Jett to easily scan its surroundings and start or end an engagement on the fly.
Viper (Controller)
Using her dynamic abilities in the field, Viper manipulates toxins onto a single team or enemy team. As an offensive agent in Valorant, Viper is able to accomplish her mission effectively. It is best to choose Viper because she has a multitude of abilities, which contribute to weakening the enemy. Two passive abilities, Fuel and Toxin, damage enemies with toxic damage. Her remaining abilities focus on using poison gas to keep an area off-limits, damaging anyone who approaches it.
Skye (Initiator)
Compared to her early days in Valorant, Skye’s abilities have become incredibly reliable, and she is easily one of the most picked agents in the game right now. Skye controls the battlefield using various Trinket types. In addition to tracking down enemies, her Ultimate also applies Nearsight status effects, effectively obscuring their vision for three seconds, giving her and her teammates a brief window to take out the opponent. Skye is usually seen playing over initiators like KAY/O on maps like Bind and Haven.
Chamber (Sentinel)
It is clear that Chamber is an excellent agent who leads offensively as well as provides backup for his team. As an aggressive recon character in Valorant, Chamber’s abilities involve area control through traps that slow down enemies. Even though he is a bit different, this agent works great at mid- to long-range.
In addition to his movement abilities, he also has the Rendezvous ability which allows him to teleport between two predefined anchors when in range. In addition to summoning powerful weapons such as a heavy pistol and a sniper rifle, Chamber has the ability to not only damage nearby players but also incapacitate them, which allows his teammates to take them out subsequently.
