Hardy made his heavyweight debut in the UFC on Dana White’s Contender Series 9, where he defeated Austen Lane by TKO in the first round. He followed it up with another first-round TKO victory over Tebaris Gordon on Dana White’s Contender Series 16, earning him a UFC contract.
