Kay Hansen was defeated by Cory McKenna but she didn’t back the decision by the judges
Kay Hansen didn’t have a great UFC Fight Night as she lost to Cory McKenna via unanimous decision.
This fight was the first on the main card and both women went at it. However, it was UFC debutant McKenna who got the win and that left Hansen a little disappointed.

The scoring for the fight was 29-28 across the board, and that was something that Hansen didn’t agree with.
She posted a screen shot of the stats from her fight and went on to say that she won the first and third rounds.
The stats also told a story with Hansen having a greater percentage of takedowns, significant strikes and total strikes.
However, McKenna landed more total strikes that her rival. Hansen also was grateful for the opportunity to fight and suggested she would be back and better than ever.
I’m blessed to love the life I live. I can’t describe how thankful I am for this camp and everyone involved. I cannot wait to climb to the top with you guys by my side. Only the beginning❤️

Hansen’s streak comes to an end
This was Hansen’s third fight of the year and this loss was a bit of a downer for the 21-year-old. The American is one of the youngest stars in the UFC and was on a three-fight win streak prior to this outing.
Hansen now has an MMA record of seven wins and four losses, and it will be interesting to see what is next for the youngster.

McKenna, for her part, impressed in her UFC debut and this was the perfect way to leave a mark. The Hobbit, as McKenna is called, now holds a record of six wins and one loss and is on a four-fight win streak.
The 21-year-old might have been the slight underdog going into the clash, but she proved that she is ready for the UFC.
