Paul Felder had some injuries to the face after his battle against Rafael dos Anjos. The American had already earned the respect of the UFC world by taking this fight on short notice and put on a decent show.

However, the class of Dos Anjos came to the fore as he dominated his rival. Dos Anjos got a split decision win in the end but many people contested the call. Some of them lambasted one UFC judge as Dos Anjos seemed to have won the majority of the rounds.

Nevertheless, the fight went the entire five rounds and it was quite a show. Felder and Dos Anjos threw a ton of shots at each other, and the American’s face was cut up quite a lot.

Felder also cut short of any talks of retiring and he only has six losses in his career.

A big match in the making?

While Dos Anjos improved his MMA record to 30 wins and 13 losses, he also stopped a two-fight losing streak.

The Brazilian is a former UFC Lightweight Champion and is considered as one of the best to have graced the promotion.

However, there is one fight that could happen in the future. Dos Anjos was ready for another fight and Conor McGregor confirmed that he was keen on fighting the 36-year-old.

McGregor vs Dos Anjos was set for the title at UFC 196 but the Brazilian pulled out citing an injury. That fight never took place as both stars went on different paths, and it would be incredible if they did meet in the Octagon.

McGregor added that he was open to fighting Dos Anjos, but only after he was done with Dustin Poirier. That rematch is also going to be mouthwatering as two of the greatest go head-to-head.
