Kamaru Usman believes GSP fight more likely to happen than one against Khabib

Kamaru Usman believes a fight against lightweight legend Khabib Nurmagomedov is something very hypothetical.

Usman is now in the League of Legends. The Nigerian Nightmare has hardly faced any trouble since joining the UFC, destroying all the opponents who have come his way.

He recently shattered Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261, knocking the tough Miami man out for the very first time in his UFC career.

With that win, Usman who had already gone past Georges St-Pierre’s record for the most consecutive wins in the welterweight division, came within touching distance of Anderson Silva’s record for the most consecutive wins.

Usman currently has 14 consecutive wins, 2 short of the Brazilian’s all time record of 16. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if the Nigerian goes on to break the record.

Usman spoke recently to TMZ Sports, and was asked if there would ever be a fight between him and Khabib Nurmagomedov. The welterweight champ claimed that it would be the biggest fight in UFC history if it ever happened.

However, he then went on to say that there was no chance that the fight would happen and that even a fight against GSP seemed more feasible.

Usman told TMZ Sports:

“It absolutely would be the biggest fight in UFC history. But the problem is, it wouldn’t happen. That’s just hypothetical. I have lost faith in this one as well. I think you have more of a chance in making Kamaru Usman and Georges St-Pierre happen before Kamaru Usman and Khabib Nurmagomedov. That one just won’t happen.”

Kamaru Usman sounds off a stern warning to Jake Paul

In the same interview with TMZ Sports, Usman had talked about how internet celebrities like Jake Paul have been creating a lot of ruckus in recent days.

Seeing Usman mention his name, Paul called out Usman for a boxing match, asking him to request Dana White’s permission to box. The Problem Child also revealed that it would be his biggest payday.

Usman was having none of it. He warned Paul to stay in his lane while adding that he was not a ‘Disney Kid’ like him.

It is worthy to mention that Jake Paul has been calling out several UFC stars after his knockout win over Ben Askren.
