Claressa Shields is training at Jackson-Wink MMA gym and Jon Jones was impressed by the boxing star

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones was one of the stars to have reacted to Claressa Shields and her training video.

The boxing star holds numerous records inside the ring and also is a double Olympic champion. Shields, who is only 25, has also won all four of the top titles in her division and many consider her as the top female boxer in the world.

The American is now planning to take up MMA and has signed with PFL. Shields is expected to fight in 2021 but has to brush up on her skills. A video was posted of the American punching and kicking in the Jackson-Wink gym and that caught the attention of Jones.

Jones has trained at Jackson-Wink and is considered as one of the greatest MMA stars of all-time. He seemed particularly excited seeing her kicks:

Shields is one of the biggest names in boxing but it will be interesting to see how she does in an MMA Octagon.

Boxing and MMA are completely different sports and Shields cannot enter the Octagon just relying on her punching skills.

Bones has his sights for gold

While Shields has a long way to go before picking up a title, she is undefeated in her professional boxing career.

That should help her a bit but training at Jackson-Wink could see her pick up some tips and tricks from Jones and the other top stars that have trained in the gym.

Bones vacated his UFC Light Heavyweight title and wants to win the Heavyweight one. He has already moved up in weight and called out the champion, Stipe Miocic.

There is no confirmation of when that fight takes place but it will be one of the biggest battles in the history of the division when it is set up.
