Antonina Shevchenko got hold of Ariane Lipski with an elbow and the Brazilian confirmed she had a facial fracture and several injury marks

The Queen of Violence, Ariane Lipski, had a UFC 255 to forget after picking up a serious injury against Antonina Shevchenko

Lipski was coming into the fight on the back of two wins but this was going to be a tough test. Shevchenko is the sister of UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina and had a ton of fighting experience too.

Things didn’t go as planned for Lipski as she was caught out in the second round. Shevchenko levelled her with one elbow and Lipski confirmed she had suffered a fracture.

The Brazilian posted an update on Instagram and confirmed the injury from Shevchenko:

“I have a fracture in one of the bones of my face and, therefore, I still can’t feel my nose nor the left side of my lips/mouth; it’s painful to move my left eye and I still need to stay for observation, but I’m already taking all the medicines necessary.”

Scary moment in the fight

Lipski also spoke about what was going through her mind during the fight and she added more scary details from the battle.

The 26-year-old claimed her vision was blurred after the elbow and she was in a lot of pain. The Brazilian thought she would get back later in the fight after the vision cleared but things didn’t work out for her.

Hopefully, Lipski will be back soon and she gets back on the trail to become a champion. As for her opponent, it was a fun evening for the Shevchenkos.

Antonina won the fight and celebrated but more was to come. Valentina defended her Flyweight title for the fourth time and made light work of Jennifer Maia.

The Shevchenkos also posted a few photos on social media and they created some history in the UFC by becoming the first pair of sisters to fight on the same card.
