Tre Jones Career
Jones’s basketball journey started at his high school, Apple Valley High School. He played a major role in winning the Minnesota 4A state title in 2015 and 2017. At the end of the 2016-17 season, he averaged 23.5 points with 10.4 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game. He was the best point guard during his high school days. After completing high school, Jones received various scholarships from different colleges but he joined Duke University by rejecting all the other offers.
He debuted for Duke against Kentucky and scored 6 points with 4 rebounds. He injured his shoulder during a collision with the opponent player and missed two games. At the end of his freshman season, Jones averaged 9.4 points with 5.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. His sophomore season was special, as he scored a massive 31 points against Georgia State and set his career-high score. He averaged 16.2 points with 6.4 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game as a sophomore.
At the end of his senior year, Jones entered the 2020 NBA draft. As expected, Jones was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs as the 41st overall pick. He was assigned to play in the G League as his first task. As of now, Jones is having a great time with the Spurs.
