Three ideal Premier League clubs for Sunderland ace Josh Maja

Josh Maja is a young English striker who has impressed this season in the League One, scoring 15 goals for Sunderland. As a result, he is on the radar of a lot of clubs from the Premier League (h/t The Sun).

The Black Cats want to sell him in the current transfer window, given the possibility that he may leave for free in the summer. That’s when the youngster’s contract will expire and he has shied away from signing an extension at the club. Now, Sunderland are considering selling the 20-year-old sensation for £5million

The young striker has been clinical in front of the goal for Sunderland, scoring 14 goals in 22 matches thus far. It remains to be seen as to which club he would be playing his football in the future.

Here are three ideal clubs for the striker to move to in the current transfer window.

Crystal Palace

The Premier League side has struggled in front of the goal throughout the season. The Eagles are in need of a clinical striker to solve their woes. Roy Hodgson would benefit from having a striker like Maja, who is clinical in front of the goal and can score on a regular basis.

Maja could form a deadly trio with Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend at the Selhurst Park and could benefit from the creativity of the two players. Given his age, Maja has shown a lot of promise. In fact, Crystal Palace could prove to be an ideal club to build on that promise and showcase his talent.

Newcastle United

Rafa Benitez has been a frustrated man throughout this season and the main reason for that has been the lack of support shown by the club owner Mike Ashley. Newcastle are faced with a dearth of quality players up front and Josh Maja could be a great fit for a club that is struggling to find the back of the net.

Although Sunderland would prefer selling the player to a team other than rivals Newcastle, given the situation anything can be possible if the Magpies are willing to spend.

Everton

For Everton to fight for a European place, they need to have a striker who can score a load of goals. Their recent signings have failed to make an impact and have been wasteful in front of the goal.

Maja has proven that he can find the back of the net on a regular basis and he could prove to be a bargain if he hits the ground running right on his arrival. Maja is strong, has got good dribbling skills and loves to shoot from the distance. Thus, he could prove to be the missing link at Everton.
