David Münnich from Germany developed the first-person Metroidvania game, Supraland. The inspiration for the game came from Zelda, Metroid, and Portal. You explore an interconnected world in which most paths are at first impassable until you discover new abilities that allow you to overcome them. It was a cornerstone of Supraland’s design to create abilities that could have so many different uses that the possibilities kept on expanding. When you combine abilities, even greater possibilities arise.
Your gameplay will increase as you progress, presenting you with creative puzzles you haven’t seen before, prompting you to consider what abilities you have and how you can employ them in new ways. Supraland Guide: Explore
Supraland is primarily about exploring the sandbox world to find secrets. Often, you might think you’re about to reach the end of your level, but a chest awaits you with a powerful upgrade. It respects your time instead of filling it with useless collectibles.
Supraland Guide: Graves
By destroying the volcano mounds and graves, players will be able to traverse areas without encountering enemies. This process takes some time depending on how well players research upgrades, but eventually they will be able to find weapons that can destroy graves and mounds. These things respawn enemies in each area, so by destroying them, players will have the capability of traversing areas without encountering enemies.
It is best to begin by searching for all respawn points they can find in each area before deconstructing them. This will make exploring and solving puzzles much easier because there will not be any dangerous enemies in the way.
Upgrade your gun
In addition to being more powerful, the upgraded gun is also equipped with a new ability that allows players to fire their gun projectiles so that they explode. This function was originally intended as a method for players to solve puzzles, but it is incredibly useful for destroying large groups of enemies. The player can knock down a large amount of health from each enemy as long as they wait until many enemies are within the range of the projectile before shooting. Weak enemies will also die almost instantly.
Talk to the NPCs
Normally, NPCs in a given area will speak about the area around them, then provide hints on how to solve a nearby puzzle. They tend not to give players the full answer to a problem, but they can direct them in the right direction and tell them what tool is best suited to solve it. NPCs offer a number of helpful features, including letting players know when they don’t have the necessary upgrade or tool to solve a puzzle. This will allow the players to move on and come back at a later time.
The MacGuffins
Many players will just get stuck or face some kinds of problems when it comes to MacGuffins. We will tell you all about them so that you will know what to do. There are three Macguffins: Red, Blue, and Purple.
Using the force cube and making a triple jump will bring you to the Red MacGuffin. You’ll place the cube on the seesaw and then jump through to the other side. The facility will have the Blue MacGuffin. You’ll get the supraball by sneaking it into one of the corners and retrieving it from there. Next to it is the key. To get to the top, you’ll throw the supraball through the yellow ring. The lift will be completed with the use of a force cube.
You’ll reach a point after the Blue MacGuffin where the NPC talks about doors being more than just passage. Because the door is made of metal, you can levitate up it. Go back to old puzzles
There are secret areas hidden in every puzzle area that can be reached only through upgrades and new equipment. By returning to old levels as you gain more important upgrade gear, you’ll not only find faster traversal paths (and shortcuts) but you’ll be able to unlock more upgrades.
Combine different tools
It is possible to combine different tools in unusual ways to uncover secrets or reach new areas once players have acquired all of the jump upgrades and the teleporter. These can be used to reach higher points on the level.
Collect coins and chests
Players must do whatever they can to acquire coins or chests. Chests are wonderful because they contain upgrades that can improve the player’s abilities. It is important for players to not pass up the early opportunities to earn coins once they find a merchant because they can then purchase various powerful upgrades. During the early game, it is important to not miss out on these opportunities. This is why players should always aim to acquire coins and chests.
Do not miss the red and gold barrels
Picking up the golden and red barrels is one of the most important parts of the game. There are two merchants that ask players to obtain six barrels for them, and returning them to the merchants will unlock new upgrades for the player. These will make him/her significantly stronger, allowing them to do a wide array of things in the game.
Avoid combat in the beginning
The starting sword that you have to fight is practically useless against the majority of enemies, so players should wait until they get the gun first. The gun is basically useless as well, so players should wait until it can be upgraded before using it consistently. After a few upgrades, players will find that taking down large groups of enemies is pretty straightforward.
