Submerged Hidden Depths Guide – 10 Things You Should Know

published

Submerged Hidden Depths is a fun game that you can relax and play. However, with the help of Submerged Hidden Depths guide, it will be more amazing for you.

In Submerged: Hidden Depths, you play the roles of Miku and Taku – both cursed with a mysterious power, one determined not to let it tear them apart, the other determined not to let it ruin their lives. Submerged: Hidden Depths is a non-combat third-person adventure set in the sunken ruins of a beautiful world.

An underwater world where you can paddle, climb, solve, and explore in the ruins. A city that has been drowned and crumbling skyscrapers that still stand above the surface. The ruins of deserted villages have now been taken over by mysterious creatures, while anguished, angry souls lurk beneath the surging ocean. To have a good start in the game and to know all the important details about it, read our Submerged Hidden Depths guide below.

Submerged Hidden Depths Guide: Spyglass

It is easy to see why Submerged: Hidden Depths has such a handy spyglass. Players receive this spyglass at the beginning of the game and use it to gain a better understanding of the land, or ocean, in this case. It provides players with a clearer picture of the world and enables them to locate new markers.

Adding tools like spyglasses, binoculars, or telescopes to an open-world game can sometimes be overwhelming. Fortunately, Submerged: Hidden Depth has a small enough open world that adding these markers won’t overwhelm your exploration.

Submerged Hidden Depths Guide: Jumping and Climbing

It is important to keep in mind that players are not able to jump or climb directly while playing Submerged: Hidden Depths. It may seem like this design approach hinders gameplay, but it actually makes exploration smoother and more streamlined. By scaling points of interest and landmarks, players can focus on the adventure rather than fussing with finicky controls, allowing for a seamless exploration experience.

It is a great relief that the game provides environmental cues such as ladders, poles, handholds, and elevators that are marked red. These are seen as natural elements that relate to the narrative of the game. It shows that other explorers have also attempted to scale these city landmarks during their exploration.

Submerged Hidden Depths Guide: Dome

The gameplay and narrative of Submerged: Hidden Depths are perfectly integrated. This is especially apparent when players explore the dome that serves as their home base after they locate each seed of life. There are a ton of secrets and lots of information in this elaborate, yet dilapidated dome. If you discover new relics from the ocean, rare flowers, or storybook lore items, you should explore this home base.

Diaries

During the game, 56 Diaries can be collected. Each Diary represents a moment in the city’s history. For every sequence of four, an important event is summarized. In addition to the four sequential Diaries, you can find in each of the nine main areas, the rest can be found as you explore the city. If you step off your boat at any building, your map will automatically show the Diaries it contains. As one approaches the table they are on, they also emanate a high-pitched, ethereal tone that becomes a marimba melody and paper rustling.

Explore the map

A player in Submerged: Hidden Depths can explore the open-world map in two great ways. The first, and most enjoyable method is to simply set sail across the open ocean. As soon as players get into their boat, they can explore this water-soaked world at their leisure. The gameplay and narrative of this game are driven by discovery.

Using climbable beacon towers is another way of organically expanding the map. Submerged: Hidden Depths features smaller towers that are not as high as some similar open-world games, but you won’t have to climb as many towers in Submerged: Hidden Depths. In that given area of the map, you can find points of interest by scaling these towers.

Upgrade Points

Submerged: Hidden Depths allows you to customize your boat by finding conch shells and upgrading it by speeding up. You can upgrade your boat by finding specific upgrade points scattered throughout the ocean. These points of interest can be found in the form of dilapidated and destroyed boats.

Throughout the game, you will be able to find 26 destroyed boats, each of which will provide a small upgrade to your boat. Upgrades are marked by blue propellers. These upgrades increase your speed efficiency and longevity once they are found and interacted with. Although these upgrades are not necessary, they significantly speed up your exploration and travel over the vast ocean.

Sounds will help

When it comes to gameplay, music and sound cues assist players in navigating a variety of landmarks and explorable structures. The challenges of these landmarks are especially challenging. You should keep an ear out for two specific sounds while exploring these locations. A hidden conch shell and a storybook page each provide distinctive sound cues as you approach them. Similar to this, when a seed of life is discovered, it emits a hauntingly beautiful musical tone that changes the contour of the ground itself.

Restart Area Option

If your character gets stuck, you can choose “Restart Area” in the menu to take you back to the beginning of the area without losing any progress. If your character does fall, get burnt, or miss a secret or achievement, it will not affect your progress. The restart area option is very helpful.

Collectibles

It is possible to visit each Seed location in any order and teleport freely between them after visiting them in turn. All locations share common elements, with the exception of the Dome where Miku and Taku live.

A shrine with a Seed is found in each shrine, there are four pictogram journals to collect and nine fragments of styles to collect, you can find a unique flower in The Dome and there are different exotic animals to collect!

Find Creatures

Your exploration of the submerged city will lead you to encounter 20 different creatures. As you uncover your personal story, at least half of these creatures will be in your direct path. Use the interact key when they are nearby to record them in your Journal. Try switching directions or even staying still if you are having trouble finding rare creatures around specific locations’ outer perimeters.

That is everything you need to know for now. Follow our Submerged Hidden Depths guide and you will definitely improve your game and also play smoothly.
