SF6: Fighting Ground offers an immersive single-player story experience, SF6: World Tour offers free-roaming 3D gameplay, and World Tour resembles classic fighting games.

Street Fighter 6 will feature the all-American World Warrior Guile. At the Summer Game Fest, a brand new trailer was revealed that shows Guile in action.

Teaser trailer

There was some realism in the visuals – a departure from past Street Fighters that were more cartoonish. As the fifth character in Street Fighter 5, Luke debuted in the trailer. Ryu, the iconic protagonist of the Street Fighter series, is facing off against a much older-looking young MMA brawler in this trailer.

Real-Time Commentary trailer

During Sony’s State of Play presentation, Capcom showed us how the Real-Time Commentary feature in Street Fight 6 worked.

Gameplay

Street Fighter 6 will is set to bring back several returning modes alongside two new modes. Fighting Ground looks to offer a classic fighting game experience and will include Arcade Mode, online matches, Training Mode, local versus battles, and more, according to Capcom. Additionally, Street Fighter 6 will feature Battle Hub and World Tour modes. Despite not being revealed yet, World Tour appears to offer a free-roaming 3D gameplay experience.

It will offer an immersive single-player story experience. On the other hand, Battle Hub appears to be the game’s multiplayer component, but no details have been released. Besides new modes, Capcom also introduced the Drive Gauge, a new battle system mechanic designed to give players more creative control. The Drive Gauge can be used to perform five different offense and defense techniques.

With the introduction of the Modern Control Type, Street Fighter 6 also aims to be more accessible for new players. With the new control type, you can release your extravagant fury by using the Special Move button with directional input, while still being able to use the Classic Control Type. There’s also the Real-Time Commentary feature for Street Fighter 6, which allows real-life fighting game commentators (Jeremy ‘Vicious’ Lopex is confirmed in English and Aru in Japanese) to comment on the fights as they happen and provide gameplay explanations.
