Spirit of The North Guide – 10 Tips and Tricks for Beginners

published

This is a game where there are not many tips given and nobody speaks in it. That is why you will need the Spirit of The North Guide.

A third-person adventure game, Spirit of the North was developed and published by Infuse Studio for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. It was released on May 7, 2020, for Windows and Nintendo Switch, as well as on November 1, 2019, for PlayStation. After collapsing from exhaustion, a fox gains the powers of a spirit in this game, which has no dialog or narrative.

So with very less knowledge of what to do, you will have to solve the puzzle and finish the game. There are lots of achievements and a lot to do in the game and we are here with the Spirit of The North Guide to help you out.

Spirit of The North Guide: Explore

Despite being primarily open-world exploration, Spirit of the North does require you to solve puzzles in each chapter in order to proceed. With no timer, you can enjoy romping through the beautiful northern world at your leisure. So take your time and explore the game.

Spirit of The North Guide: Abilities

In Spirit of the North, you get a quick tutorial every time you acquire a new ability, showing you how it helps you fight the plague. The pictographs can get confusing, but Spirit of the North also prompts you when certain abilities need to be used. So do not forget to use your abilities whenever it is needed.

Kindred Spirits Achievement

This is one of the famous achievements in the game. To unlock this, you will need to locate and greet all Spirits in the Spirit World. The achievement is probably the most difficult or annoying one. You need to find and move to the front of the 28 spirits during chapter 7. When you see an animation resembling a prayer, they greet you. Be careful because it’s a big forest and many areas look the same.

Chapters 1 to 6 will have one major task

While there are many chapters in the game, each chapter can require you to do something different. There can be different tasks and objectives for you. However, there is one major objective for you from chapter one to chapter six: collecting Shamans. To complete Chapters 1-6, you must gather every Shaman and turn on every Ancient Mural.

Replay Chapters

Even if you have missed collecting some important things then do not worry. You can go back and open any chapter you have played before and then you can start exploring and collecting what you have missed before.

How many Shamans are there?

Each Shaman has a staff, and you must bring the staff next to the Shaman to awaken its spirit. There are 28 Shamans in the game throughout chapters 1-6.

The first big river area has spirits to collect

The first spirit is already walking around quite close to you in the woods when you leave the small ravine, so be sure to stop and look around when you exit the ravine. Two others are all the way back at the small forge at the big waterfall. Go back to the ravine and cross the river straight, or cross the river at the forge and follow the path back on the other riverside until you reach the path again.

The next spirit, which you most likely previously noticed when you followed the light from the first fox statues, is moving up and down on that route. Simply take the way to the next place from here.

Do not miss the Spirit Blooms

The blue flowers called “Spirit Blooms” require you to bark at them in order for them to grow into a spirit flower. You will have to do that often since many puzzles require special skills that are only available when you have some spirit power.

Destroy the Plague Tethers

When you unlock the Spirit Bark ability at the end of Chapter 2, you will unlock the ability to destroy the Plague Tethers, which are those red infected flowers. To progress at certain points, you will need to collect all collectibles. You can easily get all Tethers-related trophies by the end of Chapter 6 by collecting all collectibles along the way.

Most difficult trophy to unlock

“Fox? Or Flying Squirrel?” is a trophy that many players are not able to get their hands on. For this trophy to unlock, you will have to stay airborn for more than 8 seconds using jump-gates or geysers. So how will you do that?

Your spirit blooms will be used to activate rush portals along the way in Chapter 5, which will involve climbing a black river. When you pass the wind circle and position your camera back towards it, hit R2 (sprint skill) to jump back into the circle. Repeat until the trophy is unlocked.

So this was our Spirit of The North Guide that has the most important tips and tricks for you. Follow the guide carefully and you will have a better gaming experience.
